FAQ
A few questions that come up, answered straight.
Do you actually make this yourself?
Yes. I took a bitters course, and the recipes here come from batches I've made myself, not from rewriting other blogs. Some of it is still in progress, and where a tasting note or a tuned proportion is still coming, the page tells you.
Can I republish your recipes or articles?
Make anything here for yourself or for friends, of course. Please don't repost whole articles or recipes as your own. If you want to quote a line or two with a link back, that's always welcome.
Do you accept free products or sponsorships?
I only write about things I'd actually use, and right now nobody's paying me to mention anything. If that ever changes, and I take a free product or a sponsorship, I'll say so plainly on the page. No hidden plugs.
Is any of this medical advice?
No. This isn't a medical site, it's a fun one about making and drinking bitters. A few herbs have real safety considerations, and I flag those where they matter, but for anything health-related, talk to a pharmacist or doctor. The disclaimer has the full version.
Do you sell bitters or kits?
No. Steepdash is about making your own, not a shop. If I ever point you toward something to buy, it's an ingredient or a tool, not a product of mine.
Can I suggest a herb or flag a mistake?
Yes, please. If there's a herb or a drink you'd like to see, or I've gotten something wrong, email me. Corrections especially. I'd rather fix it than leave it sitting there.
